Mistria Bug Guide: Bugs & How to Catch’em! Hunt with Bug Net

Bug Catching is a rather underutilized aspect in many farming simulators, but it plays a central role in Fields of Mistria. There are an enormous number of bugs to be caught, and if you want to complete the Insect Wing of the museum, you’ll need to obtain a bug net. Recommended Videos:

On that note, Bug Nets are the only tool that cannot be enhanced. Just in case you’re considering spending your precious Iron or Silver ingots to upgrade a Bug Net, don’t bother. The only change this will bring about is an aesthetic one, and the Bug Net itself is no better or different from the worn one you get from Luc at the beginning of a playthrough.

How to catch every overworld Bug in Fields of Mistria

There are seven bugs that can spawn in any season, and they are arguably the easiest to find. Only one of these bugs has specific weather and time requirements:

  • Fuzzy Moth:
    • Weather: Sun/Wind
    • Time: 8 pm to 2 am

The rest of these bugs can be found on the beach at any time of the day and don’t have weather requirements:

  • Beach Hopper
  • Hermit Crab
  • Relic Crab
  • Sand Bug
  • Surf Beetle
  • Waterbug

There are 10 bugs that can spawn outside of winter, and half of them have specific weather and time requirements. Here are the details:

How to catch Bugs in the Mines in Fields of Mistria

Unlike bugs found in the overworld, those in the mines don’t have specific weather or seasonal spawn requirements. You can potentially find any bug at any time, although you may need to do something specific to increase the chance of finding a particular bug. Here’s a breakdown of the bugs and how to spawn them in the different areas of the mines:
